In no particular order, below is our very long to-do list. It’s become very apparent that owning a boat will require constant maintenance. The good news is that we will become very familiar will our sailboat and all of its systems after completing this list.

Purchase a 10-15 HP outboard motor for the dinghy
Install a watermaker
Install cockpit speakers and receiver
Add a safety net for the dogs
New name decals
Fishing pole holders
Assemble ditch bag
Identify and collect spare parts
Purchase and Activate PLBs
Install a Wifi booster
Add a wind vane and wind instrument
Add a TV with DVD player
Clean bilge
Replace rusted anchor chain
Install a new mast boot
Replace old and damaged hoses and clamps
Paint the hot water heater
Tighten stanchions for lifeline and re-bed as necessary
Replace a lower shroud with frayed wire
Add a propane grill
Fill propane tanks
Inspect and replace filters as necessary
Inspect and repair muffler as necessary
Tachometer repair
Inverter repair
Add engine audible alarm

Clean lines
Add second fire extinguisher
